About this role
Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all . Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Identify and characterize new yield issues by tracking probe yields and trends, and explain gaps between target and actual yields. Perform advanced data analysis and characterization to quantify issues, generate an accurate yield pareto to guide the fab on issues limiting yield. Use statistical tools and data-mining techniques to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement. Work closely with the Failure Analysis (FA) team, including Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) and Physical Failure Analysis (PFA), to correlate electrical signals with probe signatures and data-mining insights, delivering a comprehensive view to process teams for effective issue resolution. Partner with module and inline monitoring teams to ensure timely implementation and monitoring of yield fixes, providing clear handoffs and alignment to drive sustainable improvements. Suggest new ideas and collaborate with the global network to develop best known methods and maintain alignment between sites Apply semiconductor process knowledge, defect inspection, metrology, and process control fundamentals. Partner with global Yield Analysis teams in Boise and Taiwan to execute a follow-the-sun operating model, ensuring rapid response to yield excursions, continuity of issue ownership, timely data analysis, and accelerated learning cycles. Drive cross-site collaboration by facilitating technical reviews, sharing yield learnings, standardizing analytical approaches, and developing common dashboards, workflows, and best practices that improve consistency and effectiveness across the global network. Apply and develop AI-enabled solutions, automation frameworks, and advanced analytics tools to enhance yield analysis workflows, improve problem-solving effectiveness, automate repetitive tasks, and accelerate yield improvement across products and sites.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physical Science (Physics) or 3+ years of semiconductor experience. 2+ experience in semiconductor physics and understanding of transistor operations, scaling limitations and reliability; basic knowledge of CMOS circuits and characterization methods. 2+ experience using at least one software (JMP, Python…etc) Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field. DRAM experience 2-4 years of experience as Yield Analysis engineer or RDA in a MFG/HVM environment.
