Job Summary
The Sr. Manager, Operations Training will create and execute our learning and development strategy for every level of our business for North America. They will create the curriculum for how people are onboarded, trained, and certified in their roles. They will lead a team that manages content designers and learning platforms and facilitates content. They will own the strategy and creation of all support materials such as job aids, build cards, operating manuals & execution guides. Roles & Responsibilities: Creating, designing, and launching effective training materials and curriculum on a large scale in the QSR industry. Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects), Articulate Storyline 360, and video production/editing software (e.g., Camtasia, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar). Experience with Inkling or other design authoring tools is a plus. People Management: Leading a team of managers to create content for multiple stakeholder groups that support restaurant operations. Project Management: Ability to support multiple projects that impact the business in the short and long term simultaneously. Communication: Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external teams regarding training needs and initiatives. Experience working with franchisees or in a franchising model on either the corporate or franchise part of the business. Personality: positive demeanor; fast learner; adaptable to change; organized; systematic; results driven; relentless focus on continuous improvement. Prioritize and advance several projects each week, ensuring progress of both short- and long-term goals. Support Training initiatives from concept to launch, including collecting data, working with vendors, creating materials, and collecting feedback from stakeholders. Design training material for the different audiences with a tailored approach for each role.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, ideally focused in Instructional Design, Education, or Business. 5-7+ years’ experience developing training materials and blended learning curriculum. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud apps (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects), Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, and Powtoon. Experience developing and designing courses, curriculum, and instructor-led content in the restaurant and/or franchising industry preferred. Understanding of adult learning methodologies (e.g., ADDIE/SAM) and theories (e.g., transformative/experiential learning). Advanced knowledge and experience using PowerPoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally between Marketing, Operations, Technology, Digital, and Field Support.
