This role provides strategic direction, coaching, and support to achieve sales objectives, strengthen customer partnerships, and expand market share across assigned accounts. The Multi Unit Sales Manager serves as a key partner to regional chain customers, building relationships with customer leadership and operational stakeholders while collaborating with internal teams, distribution centers, and supplier partners to deliver value-added solutions. This position is accountable for sales performance, customer retention, team development, and the successful execution of strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals responsible for managing and growing regional and multi-unit restaurant accounts. Drive sales growth through effective account strategies, customer development plans, and execution of targeted sales initiatives. Establish performance expectations and ensure sales team members achieve revenue, profitability, customer retention, and growth objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with customer decision-makers, operators, and key stakeholders within assigned accounts. Conduct regular business reviews with customers to identify opportunities for growth, increased penetration, and operational improvement. Partner with sales representatives to identify and maximize opportunities for new product placement, menu innovation, promotional programs, and value-added solutions. Develop and deliver customer presentations, sales proposals, and strategic account plans. Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and implement action plans to capitalize on growth opportunities. Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns and collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive timely resolution. Partner with distribution operations, procurement, marketing, category management, and supplier partners to support customer objectives and achieve business goals. Manage customer and supplier programs while ensuring compliance with contractual commitments and company standards. Ensure customer reports, business reviews, and performance metrics are completed accurately and delivered within established timelines. Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the sales team. Performs other related duties as assigned.
