About this role
Join our Team We are seeking a talented Master's student to conduct a research thesis on optimizing flow dynamics and acoustic performance of a baseband fan tray system. This role combines computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation with experimental prototype testing, offering hands-on experience in thermal and acoustic engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and validate CFD models such as (ANSYS Fluent / PowerFlow CFD) to simulate the flow field and noise generation in the fan tray Conduct parametric studies to identify design improvements for flow efficiency and noise reduction Design, build, and test physical prototypes based on CFD predictions Perform acoustic and thermal measurements on prototypes Compare simulation results with experimental data and iterate on designs Document findings and prepare thesis with recommendations for further production Collaborate with engineering team to ensure technical feasibility Required Skills and Qualifications Enrolled in or recently admitted to a Master's program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field Strong foundation in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics Experience or willingness to quickly learn CFD tools and techniques Basic knowledge of CAD tools and handling(e.g., Creo, SpaceClaim) Experience with experimental testing and data analysis Solid technical writing and communication abilities Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Previous CFD project experience Familiarity with acoustic simulation or noise measurement techniques Experience with design optimization methodology Programming skills (Python, MATLAB) for post-processing What We Offer Mentorship from experienced engineers, access to industry-standard tools, and the opportunity to contribute to a real product development cycle.
