Description & Requirements
WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work, a champion of diversity and a model of social responsibility. We are currently #1 ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have maintained a spot in the top four on Glassdoor’s list since its founding in 2009. Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don’t happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally. WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH Coro is Bain’s persistent product development and engineering organization serving the firm’s digital solutions across Commercial Excellence (B2B) and the newly established Demand Generation Suite (B2C). Coro brings together technology, data, and services to build and operate proprietary solutions that create differentiated value for Bain’s clients and case teams. This role sits within the newly established B2C pillar of Coro, building the technical foundation for Artemis – Bain’s AI-driven marketing and commercial investment allocation platform, and one of three products in the Demand Generation Suite. WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM The Software Engineer role is a full stack engineering position focused on building and maintaining product features across the Artemis backend (Python/FastAPI) and frontend (React/TypeScript). Engineers in this role contribute to platform capabilities used by consultants and clients in live engagements, working within established patterns and with guidance from senior team members. Contributions span both the API layer and the React components that surface those capabilities to users — including the marketing mix model configuration interface, channel allocation dashboards, scenario planning tools, and client-ready output views. This is a delivery-focused role for engineers who are ready to contribute meaningfully across the full stack and grow their ownership over time. The core expectation is shipping well-tested features within defined specifications, collaborating closely with senior engineers, and developing the habits and judgment that come with working in a production product environment. Additional responsibilities include participating in support and operations by identifying system defects, contributing to troubleshooting efforts, and supporting code deployments. WHAT YOU’LL DO Feature Development Implement features across backend API logic and React frontend components for assigned Artemis product areas, working from clear specifications and with guidance from senior engineers. Contribute to taking features from development through testing and deployment across both layers. Build and maintain backend routes for assigned product areas, following established patterns for request/response contracts, versioning, and testing. Keep TypeScript type contracts on the frontend in sync with backend changes. Frontend and Data Visualization Build and maintain React components using the shared Demand Generation Suite design system, contributing to marketing analytics interfaces including channel allocation dashboards, scenario comparison views, and model configuration workflows. Follow established component and styling conventions. Write database queries and data access logic for Artemis data models, following existing schema and migration patterns. Develop familiarity with the data volumes and access patterns typical of marketing analytics engagements. Quality and Collaboration Write and maintain tests for backend and frontend code. Ensure new features ship with adequate coverage and do not degrade existing functionality, with support from senior engineers on testing
