About The Position The Manager Transmission Construction manages a team of employees and consultants to plan, organize and execute Ameren Transmission construction projects. Key responsibilities include: ● Foster a culture of safety with zero unsafe acts by championing safety efforts, achieving safety objectives, and ensuring that safety is the top priority of all internal coworkers and external partners. Continuously monitor and evaluate contractor safety performance. Implement processes and learning opportunities necessary to achieve safety objectives. ● Monitor and assess all aspects of co-worker development needs and take an active role in the development of all direct reports. ● Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in planning, development and execution of transmission construction projects, to deliver them safely, on schedule, within budget and according to the specifications. ● Drive continuous improvement in construction efficiency and quality by seeking knowledge of emerging technology and industry best practices, through participation in related industry associations and internal teams. Identify and implement best practices in construction management. ● Identify and Implement strategies designed to improve Ameren's relationship with customers and landowners affected by construction activities. Serve as a key liaison between Ameren and local communities within assigned area of responsibility. ● Develop department policies, practices, procedures, processes and strategies; as dictated by emerging business needs Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Professional Engineer License (P.E.) in Missouri and /or Illinois preferred . Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred. Seven or more years of project construction experience required. Five or more years of supervisory or high-level team/project leadership required. Transmission line or substation experience preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Good leadership, management, analytical, communication, flexibility and human relations skills required. 24/7 availability required. Construction site visits are expected. Assists in storm restoration. Travel and Overtime may be required. After preliminary review, selected applicants must take the First Line Supervisor Test and obtain a recommended status in order to be eligible for additional selection procedures.

Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. The selected applicant's primary facility within the Ameren service territory will be determined upon hiring.
Compensation
Range: $131,900.00 - $204,400.00 At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise.
