Responsibilities

Keysight Technologies is seeking a driven, technically minded early-career Business Development Engineer to open doors and build pipeline across the Dallas and Austin corridors. This is a launch role for a recent Electrical (or similar) engineering graduate who wants a career in technical sales. You will own outbound prospecting into new and underpenetrated accounts, with a primary focus on the region's fast-growing AI and data center infrastructure companies, alongside semiconductor and emerging technology accounts. This is a field-oriented role. You will spend 1-2 days per week on customer sites, including cold walk-ins, and you will work closely with account managers, industry solution teams, and application engineers who will coach you as you convert first conversations into qualified opportunities. The successful candidate is curious, resourceful, and energized by getting in front of engineers at accounts where Keysight has little or no existing presence.   Accountabilities: Build pipeline in the region's AI and data center infrastructure segment as the primary focus, prospecting into the companies deploying and validating AI compute clusters, high-speed networking and optics, and the power systems behind them. Meet and exceed funnel growth expectations by generating qualified pipeline in new and underpenetrated accounts across the Dallas and Austin metros. Execute high-volume, multi-channel outbound prospecting across phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and in-person visits. Spend 1-2 days per week in the field visiting customer sites, including conducting cold walk-ins, often alongside local account managers, to engage engineering and program stakeholders face to face. Research and map target accounts, identifying the design, test, and validation engineers behind each program and tailoring outreach to their technical challenges. Qualify leads into sales-qualified opportunities and drive clean handoffs to account managers, staying engaged through early opportunity development. Maintain rigorous Salesforce discipline, ensuring accurate activity logging, account intelligence, and funnel visibility. Present territory plans, account insights, and results to sales management with clarity and confidence. Partner with field marketing, industry solution teams, and application engineers to coordinate demos, evaluations, and event follow-up. Complete Keysight's technical onboarding curriculum in RF, digital, and test fundamentals, and build working knowledge of Keysight's design, emulation, and test portfolio to hold credible first conversations with engineers. Represent Keysight at regional trade shows, conferences, and industry meetups to source new contacts and opportunities.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering required (Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred), completed or graduating within the academic year. 0-2 years of professional experience; internships, co-ops, campus jobs, or student organization leadership in sales, engineering, or customer-facing roles all count. Genuine interest in building a career in technical sales and in the AI and data center infrastructure market. Familiarity with high-speed digital concepts such as PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, and SerDes from coursework or lab
