Entry-Level Product Repair/ Modification Technician Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Product Repair/ Modification Technician to join our dynamic team in Heath, OH.
Position
Responsibilities: Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations) Works under supervision Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Experience working with tools and following work instructions Willingness to work with beryllium and/or other chemical elements Basic computer experience and competency Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units 1+ years’ experience soldering experience and assembly of equipment 1+ years’ experience using handheld tools and/or hand-held power tools Experience reading and understanding basic engineering drawings and specifications 1+ years’ experience working under a microscope Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process. Shift: This position will support 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift Work Location: This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
