About this role
Lead the build of Precision Animal Health’s global logistics program in Kalamazoo. In this high-impact role, you will architect and scale a world-class logistics network that ensures the compliant, reliable, and timely movement of critical samples and supplies worldwide. You’ll play a foundational role in shaping how logistics enables our broader mission—building systems from the ground up, influencing cross-functional strategy, and delivering measurable business outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic design with hands-on execution in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Establish and manage global and regional courier partnerships; negotiate competitive rates, define SLAs, and implement performance scorecards with clear accountability. Design and deploy scalable shipment SOPs (inbound/outbound, inter-site transfers, packaging, temperature control, and exception handling) aligned with global regulatory standards. Own end-to-end import/export processes, including permits, HS classification, Incoterms, valuation, and customs broker oversight; proactively resolve customs holds and mitigate risks. Build and manage a network of in-market distributors for testing supplies; define inventory strategies, lead times, and service expectations. Define and optimize logistics flows for PAH, including labeling, duties and taxes, shipment tracking, and proactive customer communications. Implement end-to-end shipment visibility tools and exception management processes to ensure transparency and rapid issue resolution. Partner cross-functionally with operations, regulatory, quality, and commercial teams to align logistics strategy with business needs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost optimization, on-time delivery (OTD), cycle time reduction, and scalability. Develop and maintain KPI dashboards; communicate performance insights and recommendations to leadership on a regular cadence. Stay ahead of evolving global trade regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence.
