Key Responsibilities
KBR is seeking a Joint Operational Logistics Planner/Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep knowledge of U.S. military logistics and operational planning to apply expertise in support of HQ Space Central Command (SPACECENT). Knowledge should be in the areas of planning, managing, and executing the movement and sustainment of military forces into—and within—theater through the supply and maintenance of personnel, materiel, equipment, and services. Candidate must be able to apply expertise to deconstruct missions, assist in the development of operationally relevant plans, and support analysis of logistic flows in a contested environment. The ideal candidate will: • Serve as the operational logistics authority within an interdisciplinary team supporting SPACECENT efforts. • Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and with making or supporting decisions under uncertainty. • Support the analysis of force employment, sustainment, and readiness across contested environments. • Translate operational logistics plans, requirements, doctrine, and tactics into decision support products/tools. • Support and/or conduct quantitative analysis of theater logistics resilience, force mobility, deployment timelines, and sustainment operations. • Support and/or perform sensitivity analyses, trade-off studies, and risk assessments. • Provide technical review and validation of analysis results against doctrine, historical data, and/or real-world operations. • Author and deliver technical reports, white papers, and decision briefs for senior military and civilian leaders. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. • Lead small teams or tasks in support of the broader overall effort.
Work Environment
Location: On-site MacDill AFB Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20% Working Hours: Standard Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s Degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience in U.S. military operations, operational logistics, sustainment, and/or force deployment Strong working knowledge of U.S. joint military planning processes (JOPP/JOPES/JPES, MDMP, Joint logistics doctrine) Highly knowledgeable/experienced in Contested Logistics planning or analysis efforts Active duty U.S. military experience Proven ability to bridge operational requirements with technical solutions Active Top Secret/SCI clearance Desired: Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Logistics, or related technical field, and at least 14 years of relevant experience Experience supporting Joint Staff, OSD, or Combatant Command campaign analyses Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques and representations Hands on experience / certified utilizing Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) Familiarity with wargaming design, campaign modeling, force structure assessments, or digital engineering environments Proficiency in operations research methods, data analytics, and computational modeling techniques Experience with US Air Force supply process
