SUMMARY
Are you passionate about building innovative payment experiences that move money in real time? We're looking for a strategic and outcome-oriented Senior Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of Fifth Third's instant payments capabilities across the RTP® and FedNow® networks. In this role, you will own the core product strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the bank's instant payment rails, ensuring we are building the right capabilities at the right time to support customer needs, market opportunities, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives. You will be responsible for defining the product vision, identifying and prioritizing investments, managing product backlogs, and partnering closely with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Treasury Management teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and innovative payment solutions. As the product owner for the underlying rail capabilities, you will work in close collaboration with Product Commercialization on go-to-market strategy, commercialization activities, and sales enablement. Collaboratively, you will ensure customer feedback, market demand, and strategic objectives are translated into a clear and executable product roadmap. The ideal candidate combines deep payments expertise with strong product practices, including discovery, roadmap planning, prioritization, product delivery, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates sound judgment, and can effectively balance strategic vision with executional excellence. If you’re excited by the challenge of transforming payments through modern product thinking, we’d love to meet you. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Own the product strategy, roadmap, and long-term vision for instant payments capabilities. Lead product discovery efforts to identify customer needs, market opportunities, and emerging industry trends. Define and prioritize product enhancements, new features, and platform capabilities based on customer value, strategic alignment, regulatory requirements, and operational readiness. Partner closely with Technology teams to translate business objectives into detailed product requirements, user stories, and delivery plans. Serve as the business owner and subject matter expert for Instant Payments rail capabilities, rules, and network requirements. Collaborate with Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure successful product delivery and ongoing performance. Monitor product health, adoption, and operational effectiveness to drive continuous improvement. Identify risks associated with product capabilities and contribute to the development of controls, governance processes, and mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with applicable network and regulatory requirements. Manage relationships with external payment networks, vendors, and industry partners. Partner closely with Product Commercialization to align product development priorities with customer demand and go-to-market strategies. Act as a liaison across business and technology teams to ensure successful execution of the product roadmap. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Undergraduate degree in business or finance required. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in product management, payments, treasury management, financial services, or related disciplines. Strong knowledge of payment systems and instant payment networks, including RTP® and/or FedNow® preferred. Experience leading products through the full product lifecycle, from strategy and prioritization to delivery and continuous improvement. Experience partnering with technology teams to deliver product outcomes through a cohesive product operating model
