Position
Summary We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the reliability and efficiency of our equipment through planned and reactive maintenance. You will predominately work on refrigeration storage cabinets, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to minimize downtime. This position is key to maintaining safe operations and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role. Experience with refrigeration systems would be highly advantageous, particularly within a temperature-controlled or manufacturing environment. Shift: Monday to Friday Location: Swindon, UK 100% Onsite The Role Maintain and improve manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Provide planned and reactive maintenance support across refrigeration storage cabinets and production equipment. Deliver fault finding and root cause analysis activities to resolve issues quickly. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to maximize plant performance. The Candidate Minimum Requirements Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment. Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills. Experience of fault finding, repair, and preventative maintenance. Ability to diagnose problems and work effectively under pressure. Good understanding of health and safety requirements. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Skills & Background Refrigeration experience would be a significant advantage. F-Gas qualification or certification would be advantageous. Experience working with refrigeration storage cabinets, chillers, freezers, or temperature-controlled equipment. Experience maintaining production and manufacturing machinery. Pharmaceutical industry experience would be advantageous. Experience working within a regulated or quality-controlled environment. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice or similar quality standards would be beneficial.
