Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a R&T Project Operations Manager (f/m) to join our R&T Operations team based in Elancourt, France . You will be part of a team developing Research & Technology (R&T) projects. As part of the R&T Operations team, you will be involved in driving operational excellence and contract management aiming at ensuring seamless project execution and alignment with strategic organizational objectives. Your challenges: The R&T Project Operations Manager (f/m) is responsible for driving operational excellence through the standardization of project governance, rigorous financial and TRL lifecycle management, and the continuous optimization of digital tools and processes to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with strategic organizational objectives, including contract management, more specifically: Project Initiation & Governance: Facilitate timely project openings by driving the definition of the SoW, Project Data Sheet, and UP-DEV documentation, providing coaching to Project Managers to ensure alignment, configuration, and accurate baselining. Project Execution & Performance Management: Support Technology Domain Managers (TDMs) and Program Managers in overseeing project execution, ensuring adherence to milestones, deliverables, and quality standards (oToCoQ), while providing proactive problem-solving and escalation management. Financial & Resource Oversight: Manage operational budgets, including the administration of Public/CTO funding, budget initiation, deviation implementation, and the development of accurate bottom-up forecasting. Technology Readiness Level (TRL) Management: Coordinate the definition, scheduling, and execution of the TRL review plan, ensuring process compliance, meticulous documentation, and effective action tracking in collaboration with Project Managers and TDMs. Operational Excellence & Digital Systems: Drive continuous improvement of R&T operational processes and documentation while managing the maintenance, optimization, and user support of digital tools (e.g., JIRA, Qlik, Google Suite, and UP-DEV) and monthly KPI reporting. The Contract management activity consists in ensuring compliance with external contract commitments regarding deliveries, invoicing, payments, and terms and conditions, more specifically: Lifecycle Accountability: Accountable for contract execution from KO until all financial obligations (including those to partners and suppliers where applicable) are closed and validated by Finance & Control.
