We are currently looking for an Electrician to join our growing team. Our Electricians are responsible for start-up, normal operation, monitoring, and shutdown of all electrical systems and emergency generator equipment; troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair work of all facilities electrical equipment. We maintain the site's electrical distribution systems in a state of electrical code compliance. As an Electrician, you will truly be “keeping the lights on” to ensure continuous manufacturing of our life-saving products. When & where: Location: East Greenbush, New York, United States Working shift: Wednesday-Saturday 6:00am-4:30pm Training shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Discover your role: Maintain electrical power systems and stand-by power generation equipment, as well as accurate electrical one-line drawings Maintain an inventory of essential fuses and circuit breakers Direct outside service providers to provide and install electrical work and PMs Assist Mechanical Technicians on facility or process equipment electrical issues Install lighting, electrical, and computer wiring when appropriate Schedule work and maintain all preventative maintenance for on-site emergency generators utilizing contracted services Schedule and maintain documentation on infrared scans for all electrical enclosures Develop, establish, and conduct annual employee training classes on electrical safety procedures and practices This role requires: AAS in Engineering or Construction Technologies and the following minimum amounts of experience for each level; relevant Journeyman-level experience may be substituted for degree Electrician II: 2+ years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Electrician III: 5+ years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with high voltage is beneficial Proficiency with electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints Ability to work independently in a constantly evolving, collaborative environment Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across the organization Some exposure to MS Office Suite, specifically Excel Participating in rotational on-call schedule May involve working off-shift to support 24/7 coverage Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role The environment and physical rhythms of this role: Gowning: Full cleanroom attire (examples may include: including laundered undergarments, gown, facemask, hairnet, safety glasses, safety shoes and booties, latex gloves and the use of sanitizing agents during gowning process including IPA) Ability to remove jewelry, makeup and nail adornments when wearing cleanroom attire Ability to perform physical requirements for entirety of shift (up to 10 hours) in a clean room environment Some physical requirements can include but are not limited to: bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, reaching, reaching overhead, sitting, squatting, walking, standing, driving, hand manipulation and ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs Does this sound like you?
