The Data Governance & Management Sr Specialist is responsible for driving the adoption and implementation of Data Governance & Management practices within the market. The role acts as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring that critical data assets are managed as business assets through effective data ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata, and governance processes. The role requires strong stakeholder management, communication, and change management capabilities to embed a data-driven culture across the organization.
• Implement data governance policies, processes and standards.
• Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to ensure data quality and compliance, and confidentiality.
• Lead local data governance initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company policies.
• Monitor and enforce data governance policies and procedures. Conduct data quality assessments and audits to ensure reliable and high-quality data in the market.
• Identify, solve, and execute solutions to improve data reliability and quality. Utilize technologies such as Snowflake, Atlan, LeanIX, to manage and govern data.
• Work with Data Engineers and Data Scientists and other business and IT stakeholders to integrate data governance policies into data pipelines and models.
• Report on data governance metrics and KPIs to senior management.
• Provide training and support to staff on data governance best practices.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related disciplines.
• Experience with data management tools (eg. Atlan, Collibra, LeanIX, and Snowflake)
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI applications in data governance.
• Understanding of data governance principles (DAMA-DMBOK)
