Manager - Data Governance - Data & AI EY exists to build a better working world, helping to create long-term value for clients, people and society, while building trust in the capital markets. As organisations continue to recognise the importance of trusted data as a strategic asset, our Data & AI practice is experiencing significant growth. We are seeking high-performing individuals with a proven track record in data governance and data management to join our team. This role can be based in either our Belfast or Derry/Londonderry office and offers the opportunity to work with leading organisations across a broad range of industries and sectors. The opportunity Our Data & AI team focuses on helping our clients unlock value from their information assets by embedding innovative data and AI solutions in existing business areas. In response to strong market demand, we are seeking additional individuals to enhance our existing team. Our Data Governance capability helps clients establish the ownership, standards, controls and ways of working needed to manage data as a trusted business asset. As a Manager, you will lead engagements from initial assessment through design and implementation, translating governance ambitions into practical and sustainable change. Your key responsibilities Client Responsibilities The nature of this role means no two projects will be the same. That means you’ll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop solutions for complex problems. You’ll also be collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines, so you will be expected to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our expertise in other areas. Occasional travel may be necessary as you will be meeting with key clients, some of whom are the most respected in their fields.
Lead data governance engagements from initial assessment through design and implementation, ensuring the work supports the client's business objectives and regulatory requirements. Help clients establish clear and practical governance operating models, with appropriate ownership and accountability for data. Lead governance work across key domains such as data quality and lineage, focusing activity on the areas that will create the greatest value and build trust in data. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring successful execution and delivery. Facilitate discussions with senior business and technology stakeholders, turning complex requirements into clear decisions and realistic roadmaps. Champion operational efficiency improvements on projects and internal initiatives and will consistently drive projects to completion, and ensure the work is of high quality. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you’ll create innovative insights which will add value to both our clients and to the broader society.

Understand all our consulting service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients and be able to build meaningful external relationships with our clients and internal relationships across service lines. Contribute to the development of the wider Data & AI team’s future by building our brand, attending relevant events, collaborating with other internal teams, and producing thought leadership.
