Position
Summary The Sr. Planner/Scheduler leads production planning activities to ensure on-time product delivery while balancing customer demand, supplier performance, inventory, and material availability. Acting as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations, this role develops and executes production plans, drives continuous improvement, mitigates supply chain risks, and uses data-driven decision-making to support business objectives.
What you will be doing
Optimize inventory levels by managing safety stock, monitoring excess and obsolete inventory, and adjusting purchase orders to support production requirements while meeting supplier delivery targets. Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and capacity planning to align production with customer demand and business objectives Monitor and analyze key performance metrics—including On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, and past-due orders—to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Prepare performance reports and dashboards for leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommending corrective actions to improve operational performance.
Basic Requirements
Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field + 4 years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management, OR Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field + 2 years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management, OR Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, OR JD/PhD in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, OR 6 + years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management, in lieu of a degree In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent. Preferred Requirements
Good overall knowledge and understanding of the product APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) preferred. Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, and capacity planning processes. Good knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP preferred).
