The Opportunity
The Manufacturing Admin Support Specialist provides administrative support by conducting research, preparing reports, and handling information requests. They support a medium- to large team, supervisors, and/or managers. Performs day-to-day administrative tasks by following established procedures and standards to ensure smooth, efficient business operations. Support activities may focus on a broad range of business processes and/or office/facilities support, such as managing schedules, receiving visitors, answering incoming calls, organizing files, and processing paperwork. May also coordinate the receipt, storage, and issuance of stationery and office supplies. Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation to ensure clarity and understanding. Under increasingly limited supervision, they perform a wide variety of administrative functions related to producing, receiving, shipping, and inventorying specialty silicone products to ensure timeliness and accuracy in applicable tasks. What we’re looking for Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience – 4 years or more of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate (MS WORD/EXCEL/POWER POINT/OUTLOOK/TEAMS) Ability to type at least 45 WPM and be comfortable with 10-key. Knowledge of process production activities in a chemical or mechanical manufacturing environment preferred. Prior experience at NuSil & SAP preferred. Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).

How you will thrive and create an impact Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for manufacturing administrative processes, systems, documentation requirements, and inventory-related activities, providing guidance and support to operators, material handlers, and peers. Train and mentor employees in manufacturing documentation, inventory transactions, labeling processes, system usage, and departmental procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and operational effectiveness. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to label generation, printing systems, and labeling accuracy, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize production disruptions. Review manufacturing documentation, including runsheets, batch records, and packaging records, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Investigate documentation discrepancies, inventory variances, labeling errors, and process-related issues; conduct research and coordinate with cross-functional teams to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Exercise independent judgment when evaluating non-routine situations, interpreting procedures, and recommending solutions to support efficient manufacturing operations and business objectives. Analyze operational data, process trends, and system reports to identify opportunities for process improvements, increased efficiencies, and enhanced data accuracy. Partner with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Planning, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve operational issues, improve workflows, and ensure timely execution of production schedules and shipment requirements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing administration, inventory management, labeling systems, documentation practices, and production support activities. Support ABS teams by setting up Kaizens, ordering supplies, ordering meals, and printing certificates as requested. Provide support to other departments as needed.
