Role
Overview The GPO Strategy & Optimization Manager, Health Systems supports initiatives that optimize contract performance and drive growth across the PACT GPO membership, Onmark membership, and other GPO programs. This role partners closely with Health Systems, biopharma manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to support contract strategy development, financial analysis, and member engagement efforts. The manager contributes to strategic planning, market analysis, and execution of cross-functional initiatives that enhance member economics and strengthen Onmark’s position in strategic contracting.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Contract Support Support the development and execution of short- and long-term contract strategies across multiple GPO programs. Participate in strategic planning discussions with members to align contract approaches with economic goals. Conduct competitive analysis and monitor industry trends to inform optimization opportunities. Biopharma Engagement & Contract Optimization Partner with Business Development Directors to support biopharma engagement and contract strategy development. Prepare economic comparisons, utilization analyses, and optimization recommendations to improve contract performance. Incorporate provider feedback and disease-state insights into contract evaluations and recommendations. Financial Analysis & Forecasting Present on financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to assess contract performance and growth opportunities. Support multi-year performance projections and market impact analyses. Cross-Functional Execution & Communication Support cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Clinical Specialists, Analytics, and other internal teams. Prepare materials and insights for leadership presentations related to contract performance, strategy, and market dynamics. Serve as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders by providing data-driven insights and thoughtful recommendations.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Economics, Finance, or related field). Critical Skills 4+ years of relevant healthcare experience, including analytics, strategic planning, financial analysis, or provider engagement. Prior GPO, healthcare services, or biopharma-related experience preferred. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver results in a complex healthcare environment. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
