About the role
We are currently looking for a Director, Group Accounting Policies , in the Corporate Finance team who will play an important role in supporting our growth. In this senior role, the Director will provide practical leadership on Group accounting policies, IFRS interpretation, complex transactions, and related financial reporting matters across the organization. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior finance leaders and business partners, the Director will translate technical requirements into clear, business-oriented guidance that strengthens accounting governance and supports informed decision-making. REPORTING/TEAM STRUCTURE Reporting to the Vice-President, Group Financial Controller, the Director will lead the Group Accounting Policies function and work closely with senior finance leaders and business partners across the organization. WORKPLACE: Montreal (2020, Robert-Bourassa), QC (Hybrid) MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the Group Accounting Policy function , providing senior guidance to business units and Corporate Finance on complex accounting matters and significant transactions. Play a key advisory role in major strategic initiatives , including acquisitions, by assessing accounting implications, advising on purchase price allocation matters, and providing practical guidance on complex accounting considerations. Own and continuously enhance Group accounting policies , ensuring consistent IFRS application across all entities and driving high-quality financial reporting. Monitor new or amended IFRS requirements , assess their impact on the Group, and provide practical guidance to support timely implementation. Drive adoption of new standards and accounting changes , partnering with finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver compliant and practical solutions.
