Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer - AWS to design, build, integrate, and support the AWS services that power customer-facing digital experiences across Agilent.com and the connected Agilent ecosystem. This role will work within a product-oriented POD to build serverless AWS ETL services, database services, APIs, product data cache capabilities, and integration patterns that support platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Product Information Management (PIM), Coveo Search, and related digital experience capabilities. The engineer will play a key role in supporting the product data cache in AWS that powers product data services needed by Agilent.com experiences, ensuring product information is reliable, performant, scalable, secure, and available for customer-facing journeys. The engineer will also ensure that data, content, product, search, and customer experience services are reliable, scalable, secure, observable, and optimized for business-critical use cases. Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless architectures, API development, data pipelines, Graph APIs, and graph database capabilities on AWS is essential. This role currently follows a hybrid work model. Work arrangements may evolve based on future business needs. What you’ll do: Work within a cross-functional POD to deliver AWS services that support customer-facing experiences across Agilent.com, AEM, PIM, Coveo Search, eCommerce, content discovery, and the connected digital ecosystem. Design, build, and support serverless AWS ETL services that extract, transform, enrich, normalize, and deliver product, content, search, and customer experience data to downstream platforms. Support and enhance the product data cache in AWS that powers product data services consumed by Agilent.com experiences, enabling fast, reliable, and scalable access to product information across customer-facing journeys. Build scalable AWS-based APIs and integration services that connect AEM, PIM, Coveo Search, commerce, analytics, and other digital platforms to support customer journeys and business outcomes. Develop event-driven and serverless solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3, Glue, DynamoDB, Aurora, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and related services. Design and maintain data pipelines that support structured and unstructured data movement for product information, content metadata, search ingestion, customer experience personalization, and platform synchronization. Build and support database services on AWS, including relational, NoSQL, and graph-oriented data models needed to power digital experience, search, content, and product data use cases. Develop and integrate Graph APIs and graph database solutions on AWS to enable relationship-driven use cases across products, content, assets, customer journeys, recommendations, and search relevance. Configure and support CDN capabilities using Akamai, Wangsu, or similar platforms, including origin setup, cache behavior, caching rules, cache invalidation, routing, and performance optimization for customer-facing digital services. Partner with AEM, PIM, Coveo, commerce, data engineering, analytics, DevOps, security, and architecture teams to ensure AWS services are well integrated, secure, resilient, and production ready. Implement observability, monitoring, alerting, logging, performance tuning, and operational support patterns for mission-critical services that impact customer-facing digital experiences. Apply secure engineering practices including IAM controls, encryption, API security, secrets management, data access controls, least-privilege design, and compliance-aligned cloud patterns. Contribute to agile delivery, backlog refinement, technical design, estimation, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, release readiness, and continuous improvement within the POD. Continuously improve AWS platform patterns that
