Job Description
Role Purpose This new role establishes the Line 1.5 Investment Administration Risk & Controls function, acting as the operational and analytical bridge between Investment Administration (1LOD) and Compliance (2LOD). The role manages market surveillance, daily controls, reconciliations oversight, reporting, and analytics to ensure all relevant controls are executed before escalation. ͏
Line 1, Line 1.5, and 2LOD Responsibilities Line 1.5 owns the execution, first‑level review, and documentation of IA and surveillance controls; Line 1 owns operational processing; and 2LOD provides independent oversight and challenge. This role ensures timely analysis, triage, and escalation, providing structured challenge and insight across IA, Trading Support, Technology, Clients, and Risk functions. Key Responsibilities 1. Market Surveillance, Controls Operation & Daily Oversight
Execute and document the daily market‑surveillance control suite (price moves, DTV anomalies, news adjacency, peer alignment, liquidity shifts). Perform first‑level analysis of surveillance alerts, investigate exceptions, and escalate issues promptly where thresholds or patterns indicate concern. Identify behaviours, anomalies, or themes requiring 2LOD or senior‑management escalation.
2. Reconciliation Oversight
• Oversee all 2‑way and 3‑way reconciliations across positions, pricing, market data, and broker/internal feeds, consolidating break analysis into a single oversight process. Conduct
