Summary: Amazon is looking for a results-oriented individual to join the AWS Energy Team as an Fuel Delivery Manager. In this role, you will support AWS’s infrastructure expansion by leading natural gas infrastructure projects that supply fuel to large-scale natural gas generation facilities across AWS regions. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver reliable, cost-effective natural gas supply to power AWS data centers. The candidate must be able to manage the execution of multiple large-scale natural gas infrastructure projects across different US geographies. The candidate will manage interactions with gas utilities, pipeline operators, and local distribution companies (LDCs), and work with internal and external engineering, real estate, and planning teams to deliver gas infrastructure to serve AWS campuses. This includes but is not limited to managing EPC vendors, gas utility interconnects, metering and regulation stations (M&R), and pipeline laterals to meet AWS’s needs. The candidate will work as part of an integrated team to implement fuel program requirements and deliver tangible reliability and cost-saving results. The ideal candidate will possess a strong natural gas infrastructure background and a proven track record of permitting, constructing, and commissioning gas pipelines, interconnects, and related facilities. The candidate will have experience working with gas utilities, pipeline operators, and regulatory agencies to develop, permit, contract, and deliver natural gas infrastructure. The right candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, operations, and technical challenges, with the skill set to drive tactical execution of project schedules, contracts, initiatives, and team goals. By establishing and growing business and technical relationships, and managing day-to-day interactions with these partners, you will be responsible for ensuring the fuel infrastructure requirements needed to support AWS’s global infrastructure expansion are met. A key focus of this role is proactively identifying and flagging risks to natural gas delivery schedules and ensuring those risks are communicated and mitigated in a manner that informs overall datacenter delivery timelines. This role requires domestic travel (up to 20%).
