Job Summary

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position supports safe, reliable, and patient-centered diagnostic imaging services at Maui Health. The role performs standard and non-standard corrective repairs, routine preventive maintenance, and acceptance testing on diagnostic imaging systems; prepares diagnostic imaging studies for transfer to the digital imaging environment with minimal day-to-day oversight; and completes installations and upgrades of diagnostic imaging systems, electronic image transfer systems, and associated equipment in collaboration with clinical, vendor, and IT partners.

Essential Responsibilities

Supports, identifies, and monitors priorities, deadlines, and identifies, speaks up, and helps implement improvements that strengthen reliability, safety, and the customer (patient/clinician) experience. Ensures documentation is complete, accurate, and timely by documenting maintenance, repairs, and parts replacement in the centralized maintenance management system; maintaining standards, procedures, and protocols for major processes; and supporting inventory controls for medical devices and software with minimal day-to-day oversight. Follows Maui Health documentation and security practices when handling system records, configurations, and any information that may include protected health information (PHI). Maintains appropriate parts and tool inventory to support uptime and timely service restoration for imaging and associated clinical systems. Conducts ongoing preventive maintenance of medical imaging and related clinical technology by performing inspections and functionality testing; coordinating service activities to minimize patient impact and downtime; assisting with scheduled preventive maintenance (e.g., replacing parts) in collaboration with team members and vendors; and maintaining awareness of the status of preventive maintenance activities, issues, and concerns. Responds to maintenance requests that may require judgment and discretion; prioritizes work based on patient care needs and operational urgency; and supports compliance with applicable safety, accreditation, and regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission) within scope of role.
