Position
Summary The Infra Electrical Projects Team is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop and execute CAPEX roadmaps for our critical electrical infrastructure. In this role, you will lead end-of-life retrofits and capacity expansion projects essential to sustaining the growth and reliability of our 24x7x365 semiconductor fabrication facilities. You will ensure that our power distribution systems are scalable, safe, and resilient to support world-class manufacturing. Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Lead the design, code compliance, and safety validation for power distribution systems, ensuring peak equipment performance. Oversee the full project lifecycle—from planning and conceptual design to execution and delivery—ensuring strict alignment with scope, schedule, and budget. Develop, review, and approve site-wide electrical specifications for medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) distribution equipment. Author Feasibility Reports and Conceptual Designs for new Capital Investment Projects (CIP) and R&M (Repair & Maintenance) expense projects. Provide expert engineering support during pre-construction, construction, and the final turnover to Operations. Manage day-to-day activities of external consultant design teams, general contractors, and subcontractors for new builds and retrofit projects. Develop comprehensive and accurate sequences of operations for all newly designed systems. Apply and maintain industry standards, including SEMI F47 for voltage sag ride-through, to ensure facility uptime. Perform Arc-Flash analysis and maintain site-wide compliance with code. Proactively monitor and ensure the uptime and performance of the site’s power systems. Perform QA/QC reviews on all engineering deliverables and vendor proposals. Lead participation in internal and external ISO 50001 audits and drive the company’s corporate sustainability and energy-efficiency goals. Partner with Project Managers, field technicians, and diverse stakeholders to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. Minimum of 2+ years of electrical design or project experience within an industrial setting. Knowledge of MV/LV (15kV–208V) equipment, including power system fault/coordination studies, protection schemes, and protective relays. Experience with the design, sizing, and operation of Motor Control Centers (MCCs), ATS, STS, Transformers, Emergency Generators, and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). Knowledge of Electric Motors and Variable/Adjustable Frequency Drives (VFD/AFD). Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as MODBUS or other relevant industry standards. Proficiency with IBC, IFC, NFPA and other regulatory codes applicable to industrial power distribution design and construction. Proficiency in electrical modeling software (e.g., ETAP, SKM) Proven experience managing projects from design and specification through construction administration. Ability to interpret complex design plans and shop drawings and conduct rigorous field reviews of work-in-progress.
