SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for a Pump Assembler I. The Pump Assembler I is responsible for preparing and assembling product. This position is expected to assist other Assemblers while learning to work more independently.

Pay: Pay will start at $21.90/hour and can be adjusted based on experience Schedule: Monday through Thursday (4 10 hour shifts) 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM with opportunity for overtime as business demands Relocation assistance is not available for this position What Will You Do: Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas  Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance  Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture  Clean, strip and inspect all required components Prepare components for assembly Assemble parts per work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints, Risk Assessment and job routers Ability to assemble quality products to meet safety protocol and efficiency standards Tests or assists in testing the operation of completed product Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards Troubleshoots, disassembles, and performs a detailed evaluation to determine repair needs and root cause analysis for the following Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment  Utilize all PPE  Perform other routine duties as requested  Top Candidates will have: One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment Experience as a pump mechanic   Physical Demands:  Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department Work Environment:  Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration Noise Level: Moderate       Summary Pay Range: $21.90 - $29.30 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
