As a Safety Analyst for John Deere Drivetrain Operations located in Waterloo, IA , you will have the following responsibilities:
Compile and analyze necessary data, documentation, and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements Develop recommendations for health and safety processes/programs to meet the John Deere health and safety standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations Participate in the unit strategic planning process Coordinate safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with John Deere standards, processes and applicable laws and regulations Manage corrective action and preventative action processes Lead incident investigations, and ergonomic reviews and assist in determining effective corrective action Review new products, equipment, and processes for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards to m ake recommendations, if necessary, prior to introduction Develop, direct, and may conduct safety presentations and training

3+ years of experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing Safety role Strong verbal and written communication skills Presentation skills and experience Root cause analysis experience Experience with OSHA and general industry safety requirements, safety audits, Robot & Machine Safeguarding Risk Assessments, Safety Risk Assessments, and Ergonomics General understanding of industrial hygiene programs, particularly regarding metalworking fluids Ability to work off shifts to conduct proactive safety activities as well as accident investigations, root cause analysis, and other duties Ability to travel domestically up to 25% What Makes You Stand Out
Experience with Occupational Health, including case management, recordkeeping, and related programs Knowledge of OSHA standards, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, assembly processes, machine safeguarding, large manufacturing processes, and a unionized work environment Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CIH, CHST, or equivalent) Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline
