Position

Summary Based in Poland, and reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global Trade Compliance, the Associate Manager, Global Trade Compliance – EU/UK leads the Global Trade Compliance organization for Europe and the UK. The Associate Manager, Global Trade Compliance – EU/UK is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of strategies that will ensure compliance across the organization while delivering strategic value and cost savings. The Associate Manager, Global Trade Compliance – EU/UK drives business results through compliance and strong collaboration with functional leaders and teams across the company.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:   Universal Accountabilities Manages trade compliance team in the region outlined and performs all leadership oversight requirements for all direct reports. Proactively collaborates to develop innovative trade compliance solutions in support of Energizer’s global growth. Provides guidance on regional considerations related to implementation and maturation of trade compliance processes/procedures, training, and tools by embedding trade compliance requirements, as necessary. Provides executional direction in the understanding, interpretation and application of complex global import and export laws and regulations.   Specific Accountabilities Provides mentoring and oversee the professional development of the trade compliance team in region. Supports and perform trade compliance internal audits/assessments, track actions to closure and engages internal and external counsel when required. Maintains partnerships with third party providers to deliver executional excellence. Supports maturation of regional customs brokerage footprint and oversight to support trade compliance KPIs and ever evolving business landscape. Develops and delivers tailored country specific trade compliance awareness training. Supports regional trade compliance policy shaping and regulatory advocacy efforts in coordination with Government Affairs. Serve as a liaison for Energizer with all regional trade compliance regulatory authorities. Provides input and supports the implementation of tools to manage and mitigate risk related to import and export operations. Oversees functional engagement in region with the support of Global Trade Compliance Sr. Manager to ensure trade compliance is proactively positioned to mitigate risk and add value. Responsible for executional oversight of regional Customs’ Supply Chain Security Program that Energizer is a part of. Support Energizer’s global Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Program by providing local FTA expert guidance as required. Support accuracy of regional customs valuation methodology in alignment with global approach.

What we are looking for

Required Skills and Experience Master’s degree and 3+ years or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years trade compliance or related experience Formal leadership experience (required)  EU and/or UK Import and Export Trade Compliance experience (required) Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders both in written and verbal formats in English (required) Results Oriented Strong Emotional and Cultural Intelligence Preferred Skills and Experience Licensed Customs Broker or local equivalent if applicable in region (preferred) Experience with Customs Valuation (preferred) Experience implementing a
