TEAM

OVERVIEW: The FabVantage 360 and Industrial Engineering team support strategic initiatives focused on customer operational excellence, tool process improvement, data analysis, and reporting across engineering and service organizations. The team works closely with engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, enhanced visibility into key metrics, and streamlined business processes. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting real-world engineering and operations projects while developing valuable technical and analytical skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support engineering and operations teams through data collection, analysis, and reporting activities Create and maintain reports, presentations, and documentation using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Analyze operational and engineering data to identify trends, opportunities, and process improvement recommendations Develop or enhance simple Python scripts to automate repetitive data processing and reporting tasks Assist with documenting business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures Support project teams by organizing data, preparing status reports, and tracking action items Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute recommendations for process optimization Assist in creating executive-level presentations and visual summaries of project results Support ad-hoc analysis requests from engineering and management teams TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Basic AI prompt engineering skills Experience with GenAI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) Basic programming knowledge with Python, SQL Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to organize, analyze, and present data effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Familiarity with databricks, Power BI or Tableau preferred Knowledge of data visualization best practices Understanding process improvement methodologies Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, or operations-related data REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint through coursework, projects, internships, or extracurricular activities Interest in data analysis, process improvement, and engineering operations Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, California during the
