Sr. Compliance Specialist, Amazon Global Logistics

A Senior Compliance Specialist owns daily operations for customs clearance on ocean, air, rail, and truck cross-border shipments. Key job responsibilities - Review and audit for entry filing, PGA, HTS classification, AD/CV, etc - Develop audit initiatives / mechanisms to measure and resolve compliance risks - Intake of regulatory inquiries (28/29, Liquidated Damages, etc) from CBP and customers - Work with stakeholders to draft petitions / protests for duty mitigation - Deep dive penalties from CBP and determine root cause / corrective action - Interpret and implement guidance from 19 CFR and Informed Compliance Publications on behalf of our customers - Submit Duty Drawback entries - Build and maintain SOPs for new and changes to regulatory requirements - Advise and educate clients on import restrictions, tariffs, and other customs-related matters in an introductory fashion - Ownership of subject matter expertise on requirements and regulatory changes to share with the operations teams in multiple locations, both origin and destination Measurement for Success - Complete assigned tasks timely and accurately, within KPI
