About the Position
The Lynn advanced programs (AP) section is a brand-new organization with the mission of inventing the future of flight and advancing propulsion capability for the next generation of military applications. Lynn AP supports a wide range of engineering activity including design, analysis, and testing across new, derivative, and existing engines. The advanced lead mechanical design engineer will focus on fan rotor hardware ownership, responsible for execution of mechanical design and development of the multiple fan stages as part of the fan module team. In this role, the advanced lead engineer will utilize engineering experience to solve problems and recommend technical solutions partnering with teammates and technical experts. This role is best suited for a collaborative problem solver with a desire to deepen their fan rotor airfoil mechanical design expertise and develop new solutions to challenging technical problems. Effectively working with teammates and peers in adjacent organizations will be necessary for successful project execution to impact short-term and long-term business goals.
