Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Poly Description - This role is responsible for driving end-to-end execution of technical programs for Poly Video Products, with a strong emphasis on quality, reliability, and delivery predictability. As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional efforts to define program scope, align stakeholders, manage risks, and ensure successful delivery of complex software and firmware initiatives. You will partner closely with engineering, QA, product management, and external partners to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations and industry standards.
Responsibilities
Own and drive execution of complex technical programs across software, firmware, and system-level components for video products. Define program scope, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria aligned with product and business goals. Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, product, operations, and external partners) to ensure alignment and on-time delivery. Establish and manage program timelines, identify risks, and proactively drive mitigation plans. Partner with QA and engineering teams to ensure comprehensive test strategies, quality benchmarks, and release readiness criteria are defined and met. Monitor program health through metrics (e.g., quality, velocity, defects, release readiness) and provide clear status reporting to leadership. Facilitate technical design discussions and ensure alignment across teams on architecture, integration, and dependencies. Drive process improvements across SDLC, CI/CD, and testing practices to increase efficiency and product quality. Manage issue resolution across teams, removing blockers and enabling teams to meet commitments. Lead program reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience
Recommended Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Typically 4–7 years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or QA leadership roles. Experience managing cross-functional programs involving software, firmware, and hardware integration. Preferred Certifications Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe certification Agile or Program Management certifications Knowledge & Skills Technical Program Management Agile/Scrum methodologies Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) CI/CD pipelines and release management Risk management and dependency tracking Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and system integration Tools: JIRA, TestRail, dashboards/metrics tools Data-driven decision making and program reporting Cross-Org Skills Effective communication and stakeholder management Strong leadership and influence without authority Results orientation and accountability Learning agility and adaptability Customer-centric mindset Strategic thinking and execution Impact & Scope Drives execution across multiple teams and functions, often acting as the central point of coordination for complex programs.
