Job Title: Specialist, Cyber Intelligence – Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Job Code: 44448 Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance   Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the security posture, compliance, and risk management activities of classified and unclassified information systems. The ISSO will work closely with program teams, system administrators, cybersecurity professionals, and government customers to ensure systems are operated, maintained, and monitored in accordance with applicable security policies, standards, and procedures.   This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls, supporting system authorization activities, ensuring compliance with government and company policies, and partnering with technical and program teams to protect classified and sensitive systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of information assurance, working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as DAAPM/DAAG and RMF with the ability to collaborate across cybersecurity, engineering, IT, and program leadership teams, security control implementation, continuous monitoring, and audit readiness in support of mission-critical environments.   Essential Functions: Serve as the assigned ISSO for designated information systems. Support system accreditation and authorization activities in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Maintain and update security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), security assessment artifacts, and related authorization package components. Ensure implementation and validation of required security controls in accordance with government policy, contractual requirements, and internal procedures. Coordinate with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), system administrators, engineers, program managers, and external assessors or government representatives. Conduct or support periodic security reviews, self-assessments, and audits. Monitor system security posture and assist with continuous monitoring activities, including vulnerability management, patch status tracking, and remediation follow-up. Review system changes for cybersecurity impact and support configuration management processes. Assist with incident response activities, reporting, and corrective action tracking as needed. Provide cybersecurity guidance and security education to system users and stakeholders. Support compliance with applicable federal security requirements, customer directives, and internal policies. Maintain records and evidence required for inspections, audits, and authorization decisions. Active Secret clearance required at hire.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Graduate degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or in lieu of degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
