Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician. The hours for this role are 3:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. The hourly rate for this position is $28.00 plus $1.00 shift differential per hour. What you’ll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Eaton’s PDCA Power Distribution Control Assembly division in El Paso is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for its Electrical Sector in the Power Distribution and Control Assemblies. The Manufacturing Technician will be in El Paso, TX. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Manufacturing Technician supports manufacturing engineer activities by assisting in process development, troubleshooting, process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures production processes operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. Also provide process information for training with production associates and meeting engineering standards. Evaluate and establish manufacturing costs, quality plans and investments in new and redesigned components or procedures • Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tooling. • Support process improvement projects to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality. • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues. • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvements. • Collaborate with engineers to implement new processes and technologies. • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. • Implement, promote, and maintain a safe work environment by implementing a culture of zero accidents including prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control, and administer risk and danger in own area and manufacturing processes. • Prepare and maintain documentation such as work instructions (OMS), process sheets, and equipment logs. • Train operators on proper equipment usage and process adherence. • Investigate, analyze and recommend alternate equipment and manufacturing methods. • Provide technical assistance to customers as requested. • Resolve manufacturing problems using statistical tools and continuous improvement methods. • Participate in product process design reviews. • Evaluate and verify processes and tool designs completed by peers. • Assist suppliers with processes to improve quality and cost. • Generate machine and production process capacity and capability studies. • Promote the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution. • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. • Proficiency with measurement tools and basic statistical analysis. • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing
