About this role
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Manage and evolve the global critical work process program and policy, ensuring alignment across all equipment domains including electrical, mechanical, and controls. Field and prioritize program bugs, driving the development of tools and processes that optimize critical work execution. Develop and maintain comprehensive training curricula, including instructor-led materials and Learning Management System (LMS) modules. Coordinate and manage regional trainers to deliver training sessions to the global fleet, ensuring consistent adoption of program standards. Travel approximately 40% of the time to support fleet operations, conduct site reviews, and facilitate multi-day training events.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in program management. 2 years of experience in data center or mission-critical operations. Experience in human performance improvement. Preferred qualifications: 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience managing global programs and policy development within a technical environment. Track record of designing and delivering technical training programs to large audiences.
