The Engineer II / Engineer III / Engineer, Senior | System and Program Support – Supports the reliability, health, and lifecycle management of critical generation assets, including power transformers and high-voltage electrical systems, through condition monitoring, preventive maintenance programs, engineering evaluations, and project support. Provides technical expertise and engineering support for emergent plant issues, equipment failures, and operational challenges to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. You are responsible for:
Lead asset condition assessment programs for critical generation assets, including power transformers and associated high-voltage electrical infrastructure, to evaluate equipment health, identify degradation trends, and support risk-informed maintenance and investment decisions. Develop and implement condition monitoring, inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, and asset management strategies that improve equipment reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance. Provide engineering support and technical leadership in the evaluation, troubleshooting, and resolution of emergent plant issues, equipment failures, and operational reliability challenges. Analyze equipment health data, diagnostic test results, inspection findings, and performance trends to identify reliability risks and develop corrective actions, refurbishment plans, or replacement recommendations. Review and provide oversight of engineering service provider design packages and recommend modifications to improve reliability, maintainability, safety, and operational performance. Collaborate with plant personnel and project stakeholders to define project objectives, develop scopes of work, and ensure solutions meet operational, budget, and schedule requirements. Prepare engineering analyses, technical evaluations, specifications, studies, investigations, and cost estimates to support plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects. Participate in capital projects and engineering initiatives involving equipment replacements, system upgrades, and long-term asset improvement strategies. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders on project execution, technical reviews, feasibility studies, and engineering recommendations. Present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to plant personnel, leadership, and business partners. Research emerging technologies, industry best practices, and reliability improvement opportunities and provide recommendations for company operations. Interface with regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and external partners as needed. Ensure engineering work complies with applicable standards, codes, operating requirements, and regulatory obligations. Minimum Requirements
Engineer II
A four-year Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or related applied science discipline (see approved list) from an ABET accredited institution, an International Engineering Alliance (IEA) recognized institution or an ABET Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) Plus two (2) years working experience in Engineering-related positions.
Engineer III
A four-year Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or related applied science discipline (see approved list) from an ABET accredited institution, an International Engineering Alliance (IEA) recognized institution or an ABET Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) Plus five (5) years working experience in Engineering-related positions.
