Looking For State Street Investment Management is looking for a Senior Agentic Engineering Developer with Masters (7+) or Bachelors (10+) years’ experience for our Engineering & Business Service Platform Team, a part of Technical and Business Architecture Solutions. This is a manager role but the candidate must have very strong hands-on software development experience, problem solving skills, and demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to accelerate development and drive innovation. The ideal candidate brings deep Financial Services industry experience, hands-on expertise in API management platforms, cloud native development, and a proven ability to apply AI technologies — including large language models, AI-assisted development, agentic agents and intelligent automation — to drive measurable business outcomes. Strong self-motivation, creativity, and the ability to perform under tight timelines and competing priorities are essential. What You Will Be Responsible For Lead and manage a team of software developers to deliver application development projects on time and with high quality, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members to ensure high performance, skills growth in modern technologies including AI, and professional development aligned with company values. Drive the adoption of AI across the engineering lifecycle — from product design, feature analysis, code generation, unit testing, and even automated testing, to applying machine learning and intelligent automation to solve complex business problems and deliver intelligent product features. Architect and deliver AI Agent solutions and domain-specific skills — designing autonomous, goal-driven agents that integrate with enterprise systems, orchestrate multi-step workflows, and surface actionable intelligence to end users across business domains. Leverage Java, Spring Boot, Python, Node.js, SQL, and shell scripting as core backend languages and frameworks, complement with modern frontend technologies for web and mobile interfaces, and build and maintain software delivery infrastructure — from build automation to CI/CD pipelines — to scale cloud native application delivery on AWS.
