The Manufacturing Welder located in Ville Platte, La is responsible for weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to drawings, specifications and other forms of instruction. Together, we create amazing technology that unlocks access to energy for the benefit of all.    Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.  Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend and grind component parts.  Detect faulty operation of equipment and materials.  Examine work for defects.  Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.  Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.  Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.  Maintain the required safety training.  The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local payroll.      SLB offers competitive compensation and benefits programs which include variable pay, health care coverage, retirement plan, protection coverage, time off and leave programs, and training and development opportunities.             Qualifications and Experience Must be able to pass a 1G open root pipe test with GMAW root and FCAW fill and cap.  High school diploma or GED required. Preference for one-year certificate from technical school or college. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field. Demonstrated proficiency in GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (flux core) welding techniques. Candidates must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without sponsorship.
