The VP Business Management is a senior operational leader who bridges functions across the organisation — reporting to, and strategically supporting, the Chief Operating Officer, Global Services, while working in close partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, Underwriting & Portfolio, and with other functions also including HR, Finance, and LR&C to drive alignment on shared operational priorities. This pivotal role is essential for supporting the business and coordinating execution and operational excellence. Primary link engaging across key stakeholders and driving effective running of operations, acting as a trusted advisor, a pragmatic business operator, and a driving force for organizational effectiveness. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, deep business and financial acumen, robust project management skills, and exceptional executive-level communication. The VP will be deeply immersed in the business, leading complex, cross-functional operational planning, issue resolution and management actions. With a proven track record of building strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders, you'll combine commercial acumen with high emotional intelligence to influence, challenge convention, and embed positive change. Responsibilities include: Strategic Advisory & Bridging ▪ Act as a trusted advisor and confidant to the COO, Global Services, offering objective perspective and data-driven guidance on key operational opportunities, risks, and priorities. ▪ Serve as the primary operational delegate for the COO, Global Services, coordinating cross-team management priorities across Global Services teams and ensuring day-to-day services remain aligned to business needs. ▪ Act as a connective point between the COO, Global Services and senior leadership and enabling functions across the organisation — including the COO, Underwriting & Portfolio, HR, Finance, and LR&C — ensuring operational priorities and governance approaches are joined up rather than managed in silos. ▪ Partner with HR and other functions on organisational design and capability planning across Global Services, ensuring headcount and talent remain fit for purpose as the business evolves. Performance Oversight & Risk Management ▪ Act as the central point for monitoring and managing key Enterprise and Global Services operational business objectives. ▪ Design and maintain fit-for-purpose operational reporting dashboards spanning an end-to-end enterprise lens, presenting concise, data-driven insights into business health. ▪ Coordinate COO, Global Services management meetings and support performance reviews, preparing briefing materials and analysis that enable the COO to make timely, evidence-based decisions. ▪ Identify emerging performance gaps and escalations, and drive resolution of operational risks across Global Services teams, ensuring issues are surfaced promptly and mitigating actions are owned, tracked, and closed out effectively. ▪ Ensure sound stewardship of Global Services expenditure, keeping spend decisions well governed and vendor relationships managed effectively; and maintain a robust operational risk and controls environment, ensuring risks are identified,
