The intern will support engineering projects focused on polymer materials, adhesives, coatings, and related manufacturing processes. The intern will work with engineers and scientists to develop material understanding through laboratory testing and data analysis. Activities may include preparing samples, conducting experiments, evaluating material properties, and supporting technical problem-solving efforts. In addition to laboratory work, the intern will be responsible for analyzing experimental data, comparing results with technical literature, documenting findings, and presenting project results to the team.   Program Perks:

Key Responsibilities

Support laboratory investigations involving polymer materials, adhesives, coatings, and manufacturing materials Prepare samples and conduct material characterization testing Assist with experimental planning, execution, and data collection Analyze experimental results and identify trends Develop a fundamental understanding of material structure-property relationships Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve technical problems Document findings through technical reports and presentations Communicate project progress and recommendations to the project team Experiences/Education - Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline Minimum of two years completed toward degree Available for a 10-12 week summer internship Interested in applying materials science and engineering principles to real-world manufacturing and product development challenges Willing to work at the posted job location Required Skills

Strong interest in materials science and polymer engineering Basic laboratory and experimental practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools Strong written and verbal communication skills Desired Skills

Coursework in polymer science, materials science, chemistry, or related subjects Experience working in a laboratory environment Familiarity with basic material characterization techniques Knowledge of statistics and experimental design Desire to learn new technologies and processes quickly Soft Skills
