As a Software Architect Senior within PNC's Data and Automation organization, you will be based in Dallas, TX. The Software Architect Sr is responsible for defining, designing, and governing the architecture of the enterprise data governance ecosystem, including metadata management, data quality, lineage, reference data, business glossary, knowledge graph, GenAI applications, and agentic workflow platforms. This role serves as the technical authority for AI-enabled data governance capabilities and leads architecture decisions supporting intelligent automation, autonomous agents, enterprise knowledge management, semantic models, and responsible AI frameworks. The architect partners closely with Product Owners, Data Governance Leaders, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Risk, Compliance, and AI/ML teams to deliver scalable, secure, and business-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Governance Platform Architecture - Lead architecture and design of enterprise-wide governance solutions including Data Governance Platform, Metadata Management, Data Catalog, Business Glossary, Data Lineage, Critical Data Element (CDE) Management, Data Quality Management, Data Stewardship Workflows, Data Controls Management, Data Policy Management GenAI Architecture & Agentic Workflow Architecture - Design and implement enterprise GenAI solutions supporting data governance and data management processes. Lead design and implementation of autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents supporting governance operations. Knowledge Graph & Semantic Architecture - Lead semantic technology strategy for enterprise knowledge management. AI-Powered Data Quality Platform Design - Lead architecture for intelligent data quality capabilities. Collaborate with technology & product teams to ensure design consistency across platforms. Job Description
Leads in the overall design of cross-functional, multi-platform, and Web-based application systems; oversees all application system processes. Develops application architecture and blueprints aimed at reflecting enterprise business logic. Defines application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools. Directs mapping activities on specific technology platforms. Provides technical guidance to application development teams. Consults on integration and conversion activities. Conducts reviews, and analyses organizational needs and goals to develop and implement applications.
