About the role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Process & Oxy Valve Technician for our Cryogenic Division to join our Unanderra team. In this hands-on role, you will complete mechanical fitting, repair and testing work on process, oxygen and associated valve equipment. You will contribute to safe, efficient and high-quality workshop operations, ensuring customer equipment is repaired and returned to the required technical and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
Repair, overhaul and test process, oxygen and cryogenic-related valves and actuators. Complete mechanical fitting tasks including stripping, cleaning, assessing, repairing, painting, packaging and dispatching equipment. Carry out in-process inspections t o confirm finished work meets required quality and contractual standards. Maintain accurate job documentation, timesheets and records of work progress, variations and delays. Inspect incoming and outgoing goods, coordinate deliveries and process returns where required. Maintain tools, workshop equipment and measuring instruments in safe and serviceable condition. Follow workshop , customer, safety, environmental and quality procedures at all times. Support workshop operations and undertake additional duties as required .
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have: A relevant mechanical trade qualification, such as Fitter, Turner and Machinist, Light Vehicle Mechanic or Plant Mechanic. Experience in a similar mechanical fitting, valve-repair or industrial workshop role. Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A safety-first mindset and commitment to quality workmanship . The ability to follow technical procedures, specifications and applicable standards. Effective communication and customer-service skills. A current and valid driver’s license. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Flexibility to work overtime and attend local customer sites when required .
