About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 11 The Team The Credit Research & Insights team, within S&P Global Ratings, provides timely research and insight on global credit market conditions. The Credit Market Research team generates leading-edge global and regional research on rating performance trends and financing conditions, widely read by external market participants and throughout the firm. Impact In this role, you will play an important part in shaping and managing fixed income research projects within the Credit Market Research team. Working closely with senior team members, you will prepare high-quality global and regional credit research reports with a particular focus on APAC, conduct thought-leadership research projects, and engage with senior analysts, management, and external market participants. Your contributions will support the team's strategic priorities by delivering high-quality insights and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Organize, analyze, and validate datasets — including ratings performance, pricing, credit derivatives, and macroeconomic data — and investigate key data relationships. Monitor and analyze key global credit market trends and regional financing conditions, with a particular focus on the APAC region. Take ownership of recurring publications from data analysis and validation through drafting, review coordination, and final publication. Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and statistical analysis to identify and interpret market trends. Draft clear and accurate commentary to support research observations, meeting rigorous publishing deadlines. Present and articulate research findings to external clients and internal stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Basic Required Qualifications An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 3+ years of relevant experience in querying and analyzing fixed income and macroeconomic data, with strong quantitative and numerical skills. Demonstrated experience in credit markets, gained on the buy side, sell side, or in a research or advisory capacity. Experience interpreting and translating data and market trends into written commentary, with the ability to communicate research findings and highlight key insights clearly. Proficiency in Excel and experience with database and statistical tools, such as Oracle SQL or Python. Demonstrated ability to self-manage, take initiative, meet deadlines, and take ownership of end-to-end publication processes. English: Required — Fluent (able to conduct meetings, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally). Mandarin: Preferred — Fluent (able to conduct meetings, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally). Additional Preferred Qualifications Prior experience aggregating and interpreting sector-level financial data. Experience presenting research findings to internal and external audiences. Collaborative approach with a track record of working across cross-functional and cross-regional teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. A master's degree or professional certification (such as CFA) is highly valued. We welcome candidates from traditional finance disciplines as well as diverse academic backgrounds that support innovative and critical thinking.
