Job summary
The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors department within the Space and Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC) Center is seeking a Cross Product Team Lead (CPTL) to support and execute Advanced Programs contracts. This is an onsite position located in McKinney, Texas.
What You Will Do
Own all cost, schedule, and technical execution responsibilities for assigned program scope Lead Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews, proposal inputs, staffing projections, and planning artifacts Establish and maintain a disciplined technical baseline with effective change management practices Develop, monitor, and manage technical performance measures and engineering metrics Drive a rigorous Risk and Opportunity Management process across engineering teams Serve as the primary communication conduit to executive leadership, customers, and multidisciplinary engineering IPTs Ensure systems engineering tasks are executed within allocated budget and schedule constraints Lead proposal development efforts, including technical volume creation, BOEs, and bid strategies Coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure alignment, integration, and technical consistency Make data-driven decisions that balance cost, schedule, risk, and mission needs Engage with program management, engineering leadership, and support teams throughout contract execution Ensure product end-result quality meets customer expectations and contractual commitments Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and 10+ years of relevant experience; OR advanced degree with 8+ years of relevant experience with Systems Engineering that includes program execution and integration Experience overseeing risk and identifying opportunities within complex aerospace or defense programs Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer: Active DoD Secret clearance Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles CPTL, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or equivalent leadership role Airborne RF systems, radar, or surveillance systems Experience influencing technical, schedule, and financial outcomes on large, multi-year programs Guide engineering teams through scheduled program reviews and critical technical milestones.
