We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long\-Range Assault Aircraft \(FLRAA\) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift \(FVL\) modernization effort\. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High\-Speed Vertical Take\-Off and Landing \(HSVTOL\) program, a next generation aircraft\.
This position is onsite in Wichita, Kansas\. The work shift is Monday through Thursday, reporting at 6:00AM to 4:30PM\.
**Front\-Line Leader – Wichita, KS**
The Front\-Line Leader will be responsible for leading the daily activities for employees to support a production environment for the FLRAA aircraft\.
Responsible for driving performance, safety, quality of work, managing cost, and managing employee relations\.
What you'll be doing as a Front\-Line Leader
* Provide daily assignment and direction to direct reports\.
* Ability to create and implement procedures and standard work, process improvements or best practices\.
* Ability to achieve objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions\.
* Ensure compliance of existing protocols \(tool calibration, tool control, operator training and qualification, etc\)
* Coordinate with maintenance and facilities to ensure work orders are submitted and completed
* Conduct disciplines of employees when necessary\.
* Utilize metrics driven accountability for performance such as TAKT, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges\.
Skills You Bring to This Role
* High school diploma or GED required\. Bachelor’s degree preferred\.
* At least 2 years of production/manufacturing supervisory experience in airframe and structural assembly\. Preferred experience with fuselage assembly\.
* Able to work multiple shifts and overtime as needed\.
* Experience directing the daily manufacturing activities of employees within their assigned area to complete required work\.
* Excellent communicator with oral and written communications skills, be goal\-oriented, data driven, with strong sense of urgency\.
* Creative, entrepreneurial, and an empowering leader with strong organizational, human relations and problem\-solving skills\.
* Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with employees, internal and external customers, and brief leaders as required\.
* We are looking for inquisitive and driven individual with a passion to innovate\.
* This candidate must have strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive employee engagement and accountability\.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\.
* Experience with 3DX, SAP, and/or PEO is a plus\.
