Our Burnaby studio is seeking a Landscape Architect IV – Design and Community Planning. This is a newly created position. Why Join Us? As our successful applicant, you will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and control of multiple Landscape Architecture and Urban Design projects from inception through completion. Project types include but are not limited to: Multi-disciplinary landscape infrastructure; community land use plans and master plans; mobility master plans and designs; institutional facilities for all levels of government and First Nations; green infrastructure and ecological restoration, and; regional, Provincial and National parks. Work on challenging infrastructure and design projects that “lead with community” and complement our strong technical capabilities in civil and transportation engineering. Proposal through Completion:  Secure your own future by developing winning ideas that capture the imagination of our clients at the proposal stage. You will then direct projects from inception through completion and may serve as the Authenticating Professional on deliverables. What You’ll Do Lead Planning and Design Initiatives Lead and contribute to community, cultural, recreation, land-use, infrastructure and master planning projects. Develop concepts, frameworks and implementation strategies that align community aspirations with practical delivery pathways. Prepare and oversee high-quality reports, presentations, graphics and design materials. Lead site analysis, opportunities and constraints assessments, visioning exercises and concept development. Integrate landscape architecture, planning, engineering, cultural planning and Indigenous perspectives into coherent project outcomes. Community Planning and Engagement Support well-informed planning and design processes with municipal, First Nations, Métis and Indigenous organizations. Facilitate workshops, meetings and engagement activities with community members, leadership and technical staff. Assist project teams in applying sound planning approaches to develop short-, mid- and long-range plans. Client Relationship
