And so much more.​      ​Come break through with us.   Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

Senior Solutions Architect   Corning is seeking a  Senior Solutions Architect  to support the development and commercialization of connectivity solutions for a major hyperscale data center customer. In this role, you will work across customer, engineering, and internal business teams to translate technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions.   Key responsibilities include:

Gathering customer requirements and supporting solution development Acting as a technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams Coordinating prototype efforts and leading field trials for new products Developing installation, handling, and testing procedures Delivering training to customers, design teams, and contractors Supporting commercialization activities, including documentation, design tools, and cross-functional coordination

BS in Engineering Related Studies (i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Optics) 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, data centers, or a related industry Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to distinguish color-coded cabling and optical fiber components Willingness to travel up to 25% and work outside standard business hours as needed

Project management or project coordination experience Strong knowledge of fiber optic products, structured cabling systems, and related installation practices Telecom manufacturing experience Background in engineering services, technical field support, or customer solution development Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive work to completion independently

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.     The range for this position is $95,042.00 - $130,683.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.        ​ A job that shapes a life.   Corning offers you the total package.
