Job Description
Shift: Afternoon - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Shift Premium Amount: $0.35 Pay Rate: $19.00 Position Summary: • The Shipping/Receiving Associate verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares products for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Observes and abides to all the safety rules and the procedures. • Meets the expectations of the plant’s attendance policy. • Participation in setting and achieving team goals in productivity, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, and material usage. • Familiar with planning, shipping, receiving functions, and processes. • Be available to train other department personnel as needed in all the aspects of their job and related areas with special attention to safe work practices. • Operates and maintains forklifts in a safe manner to load trailers/ unload trailers, store finished and raw materials in storage racks/ manage FIFO product management independently without error. • Palletizes, wraps, and processes for shipment of all the outgoing products. • Setup and properly stage the LTL orders. • Fills out all paperwork and inventory tracking documents necessary for shipping, receiving, and accurate inventory control. • Performs housekeeping duties as necessary to support 6S. • Excellent time management skills, self-motivated, determination, and confident. • Paying meticulous attention to detail to witness that the orders from the pick list sheet for shipping are properly calculated and the description on the material is accurately identified. • A strong aptitude for math’s. • Exceptional problem solving skills, ability to work to deadlines, and under pressure. • Perform other tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications
Education: • High school diploma/GED, or equivalent schooling. Requirements: • Demonstrated forklift driving experience (electric); 3+ years preferred. • Computer literate and SAP knowledge a plus. • Ability to work in a high-speed, fast-paced production environment. • Availability to work overtime (including weekends) when needed to meet the demands of our valued customers. • Display a teamwork mentality, work well with others, and actively engage with the Shipping and Receiving Team. Other Requirements: • Experience working in a warehouse environment; 1+ Years preferred. • Prior experience processing Shipping documents a plus. Physical Requirements: • Standing and walking for periods of up to 3 hours at a time. • Must be able to perform repetitive assembly using hands and arms which includes bending, reaching, stretching, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. • Must be able to routinely work in adverse climate conditions “hot room” (up to 110 degrees F at times) with extreme cold temperatures below freezing (32 degrees F) Benefits and Perks
