Job Description
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW The TD Securities (TDS) Strategy team provides strategic guidance to the TDS business segment, supporting short-, medium-, and long-term growth objectives for the dealer. The team delivers the strategic planning process and performance to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and risk parameters. This includes supporting on strategic initiatives and reporting on the business to TD Bank's CEO, CFO, COO and Board. CO-OP / INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across several of the businesses at TD. You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world class training, and be part of a community of students across TD, where you will have an impact, grow as individual and experience our culture of care. Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features: Leadership talks with key Leaders from across the organization Lunch and Learns on topics such as Innovation and Personal Branding JOB DESCRIPTION Support the team in obtaining, developing and tracking data and written inputs into deliverables such as Monthly Operating Reviews, Quarterly Business Updates and Strategic Business Plans Perform research as required for team presentations and memos Obtain market share information (league tables) from Bloomberg as required Help prepare powerpoint presentation slides Seek and execute efficiencies within our work JOB REQUIREMENTS We’re proud to work with a group of diverse colleagues. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree, in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field, with the intent of going back to school at the end of your work term (requirement for all co-op / intern positions) You are enrolled or plan on pursuing your CPA designation OR are committed to pursuing a career in Finance Transformation You demonstrate both financial acumen combined with a strong orientation toward curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools Detail-oriented and quick to apply new concepts, with high personal standards for quality and accuracy Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders at various levels of seniority Proven ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams and business partners Ability to operate as a working lead on initiatives as assigned Ability to manage deadlines and multiple tasks, and adapt well to changing priorities Proactive, highly motivated individual who takes initiative Can work both independently, and in a team environment Proven ability to work with Microsoft PowerPoint, and Word ADDITIONAL
