Reimagine What’s Possible  ​The HYCO Shift Supervisor is accountable for managing and supervising the operations staff which include Boardman, Lead Operators and Field Operators for the facility having two HYCO Steam Methane Reformer, one Off-Gas PSA facility & Hydrogen Import Pipeline Facility. The HYCO Shift Supervisor will manage the day-to-day shift operations which include daily customer production meetings, insuring daily operational targets are achieved, interfacing with the Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the site. The HYCO Shift Supervisor will be responsible to ensure the Operations staff is properly trained to support the operations in addition to the incumbent execute daily tasks which include preparing and implementing safety work permits, LOTO, complete operations preventative maintenance activities, and assist the maintenance and engineering teams in preparing and executing corrective maintenance activities. This position is an extension of the operating team and is expected to engage in all plant operations and ensure tasks performed safely. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Safety: Provide & maintain a safe work environment.  Demonstrate leadership with all company & industry safe work processes to prevent injuries. Technical: Provide direction to the staff of the HYCO Steam Methane Reformer unit and ancillary equipment as prescribed by the Work Instruction Procedures. Operate the unit when required. Provide direction & guidance based on technical feedback from Assistant Site Manager, Site Manager, Engineering and Maintenance for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and test activities. Provide Operations support, guidance & lead the team during the startups, shutdowns and emergencies of the plants.  Maintain accurate document control and monitor quality assurance initiatives.  Provide Operations guidance to ensure safety, reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems. Provide Operations input for scheduled outages to ensure contractual requirements are achieved Manage plant production efficiently based on data driven decisions to ensure safety and reliability targets are met to achieve maximum profitable. Work closely with Shift Team, Assistant Site Manager, Site Manager, Maintenance Team and Engineering team to ensure production targets are achieved in his shift, plant running at optimum energy efficiency and safely. Operations: Ensure the safety of all operations personnel by utilizing the APQ Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc.  The position facilitates planning, organizing, auditing, and follow-up, to build the Air Products safety culture into the APQ. Ensure all Environmental Regulatory requirements are met. Ensure compliance to all CM, PM tasks. Support and prepare for Shutdown Planning and Turnaround Planning. Ensure Air Products and APQ standards, and global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services are met Meet the customer’s satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility on product supply. Build the plant technical capability through support coordination from Assistant Site Manager, Site Manager, Maintenance Team and Engineering team.
